Questions we get asked.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
It depends on the size of the room and what has to come out, but a standard bathroom is usually a few weeks from strip-out to fit-off. Waterproofing has to cure before tiling starts, so that part cannot be rushed. We will give you a timeline with the quote.
What does a bathroom renovation cost?
There is no honest flat answer — it moves with the size of the room, the tile you choose, whether the layout changes and what is behind the walls. We quote in writing after seeing the room, so you know the number before anything starts.
Do you do the waterproofing as well as the tiling?
Yes. Waterproofing and tiling are done as one job, because the tiling is only as good as what is under it. Australian standards set out how wet areas have to be waterproofed and we work to them.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Hazelbrook and work across the Blue Mountains — Lawson, Woodford, Wentworth Falls, Springwood, Katoomba, Leura, Blackheath, Winmalee, Blaxland and Glenbrook included. If you are just outside that, call and ask.
Can you do just the tiling if I already have a builder?
Yes. Tiling is the core trade here, so we are happy to come in as the tiler on someone else’s job — wall and floor, large format, pattern work, feature walls and outdoor areas.
Do you tile outdoor areas as well as bathrooms?
We do. Alfresco areas, patios, entries and steps. Outdoor tiling in the mountains has to handle real weather, so falls, non-slip finishes and edge details matter more than they do inside.
